A thrilling weekend of fieldcraft and an Inter-Squadron competition saw Newbury Cadets give 110%!
Cadets from 211 (Newbury) Squadron this weekend took part in an inter-squadron fieldcraft exercise at Bramley Training Area in Hampshire. The team of 8, led by Sgt Richard Hobbs, competed against 180 other cadets from across the Thames Valley in a night-navigation exercise, as well as a teamwork exercise, a command exercise and an Observation exercise. They also successfully completed an orienteering exercise and several other events.
Newbury were placed 8th out of the 23 teams which took part - however, this didn't deter them in anyway, with the team marching out of the cadet area bellowing out several marching songs, much to the enjoyment of the other cadets present.
Well done folks!
