A regular squadron fund raising event, Goring Heath took place in early April in traditional April Showers.
A team of 10 cadets managed to successfully direct and park over 200 horse boxes over the course of the weekend, as well as freeing those bogged down in the mud with a little help from a tractor!
Meanwhile, in the show jumping arena, cadets were responsible for setting up, fixing, correcting and moving show jumping fences – as well as putting them back up when horses accidentally knocked them over. Due to the exceptionally poor weather conditions, this year, in a break from the norm, the cadets were also responsible for holding some of the "wings" in place due to the wind blowing the fences over!
All in all the weekend was a tremendous success, with a donation of £500 from the organiser, who commented on how efficient, helpful and well presented the cadets were.
The money has been split between the Squadrons minibus fund and funding to produce the new 211 Squadron crest in association with the Royal College of Arms.
